Who we are
About Arkansas
Birth Control
Arkansas Birth Control is made up of a team of passionate educators, advocates, and healthcare partners working to improve the health, autonomy, and well-being of young people across Arkansas.
We believe young people deserve accurate information, real choices, and respect when it comes to their bodies and their health. Too often, youth are talked at instead of listened to. We take a different approach — one that centers people as experts in their own lives.
Our focus
We envision an Arkansas where all young people — regardless of where they live, who they are, or what resources they have — can access clear, honest, and medically accurate information about birth control and reproductive health.
Our work is rooted in the belief that:
- Knowledge empowers young people to make confident decisions
- Access to care is a public health issue
- Youth voices should guide youth-focused solutions
Through education, partnerships, and advocacy, we work to reduce confusion, stigma, and barriers around birth control for young people in Arkansas.
Our work
Education & information
We create clear, resources about birth control, sexual health, and reproductive care — using plain language, inclusive messaging, and medically accurate information. Our goal is to answer the questions young people are actually asking, without judgment or shame.
Access &
navigation
We help young people understand where and how to get birth control in Arkansas, including low-cost and confidential options. This includes breaking down what to expect at appointments, what rights teens have, and how to advocate for their own care.
Youth-centered advocacy & partnerships
We collaborate with educators, healthcare providers, community organizations, and youth advocates to improve how reproductive health information and services are delivered across the state. We believe sustainable change happens when young people are meaningfully included in the conversation.
